Okay gang, SO! I was talking with fwg earlier today about themed anthologies, calls for stories, specific deadlines, specific themes, and what all that can do to help if you suffer, as I do, from finishitis...that bloated, swelling sensation that stops your fingers from working on the keyboard when you're trying to get a piece of writing done and maybe even possibly do something with it. I am a big fan of picking do-able but close-ish deadlines, the more specific the theme, the better, and firing off a story. Downside: if the theme is very specific or the story format particular, you *might* have an issue marketing it elsewhere. Upside: if you make the deadline, you, uh, made the deadline, and you just wrote and submitted a story. YAY. Practice makes perfect and all of that. Also, after talking with some of you about WRiTE CLUB it seems like the kind of thing you might be interested in doing, so? I started this thread so I could post about themed anthos/magazine issues/random writing challenges that you might be interested in subbing to and that I personally am going for. I CHALLENGE YOU.

Ghost on Drugs in on my list to submit too. I have one do before (or around the same time, lol) that the theme is 'Curiosity killed the Cat', that I already started.
I was wondering what to with Demons & Dolls but it does kinda work for Ghosts on Drugs. I'd just have to change the main character from Demon to Ghost. But...I can't recall if GoD's was pro sexy time stuff or not. Hah, I'll have to check. ^_^
It's awesome that you're already working on an idea for it!
--- Oh no. I wrote the story last night on my iPhone and it turns out its 307 words. *cries* Now I have to cull 107 words.

On the Premises has a new, teeny tiny contest for us to enter, potentially, if you want! Good excuse to write and polish a tiny thing and send it in! The contest page with the link to the submissions form is here! The Current Mini-Contest Mini-Contest #29 launched on Sunday, April 17, 2016 MUSIC Your challenge: In no more than 75 words, tell, show, or evoke as complete a story as you can in which music of some sort plays an important role. Deadline: 11:59 PM Eastern US time, Friday, May 6, 2016.
Length: Maximum of 75 words. Hyphenated Words: If the hyphenated word is generally considered a single word, it counts as one word. (Like “twenty-five” or “jack-o-lantern.”) Otherwise each part of the hyphenated word counts separately. Prizes: $25 for first place, $15 for second, $10 for third. Honorable mentions get published but make no money. One entry per author. There is no fee for entering this contest. To submit an entry, click the button below and follow the instructions. If you don’t already have a (free) Submittable account, you’ll be prompted to make one. By the way, please don’t give your mini-contest entry a title. We never publish titles for mini-contest entries, just the entries themselves.

Given you've posted more than 75 words just plugging this thing, and I read every one of them, I now feel strangely obligated to respond with a 75-story. So... Okay. I'll do it!
